Special July UFO/Paranormal Meeting
Norio- is going to do a Special Summer Meeting of the UFO/Paranormal Forum July 21st Sat. Room 5 1:15 to 3:00PM Manzano Center ( Normal meeting place-- Don't miss it.....
UFOs, THE GOVERNMENT AND THE GREAT ALIEN HOAX
- a closer look at the role of "beliefs" in Area 51 and Dulce conspiracies.
Norio Hayakawa, former director of the Civilian Intelligence Network, is a long-time UFO researcher who has, for many years, thoroughly studied the fascinating topic of Area 51 in Nevada as well as widespread claims about the existence of an underground base in Dulce, New Mexico.
He has spoken in many conferences nationwide, especially in the early 1990s.
His present focus is on the study of how a segment of the population's die-hard "beliefs" in physical UFOs and Aliens may not only have been manipulated but also may even have been promoted by part of an elite echelon of the U.S. intelligence community as well as by such similar cabal within the military.
He theorizes that a conditioning system has been strategically set by those secretive elitists ever since 1947.
He also brings about the importance of Operation Paperclip which may have played a role during those initial years.
This conditioning system, targeted towards a segment of the population could, in the near-future, become part of a global deception scenario.
He states, "UFO reports may not necessarily be caused by physical visits from space travelers. Alternate realities co-exist with us, making it extremely difficult to define 'reality' through out limited empirical understanding and our inability to detect them with our five senses".
But he also states, "the government is well aware of this as well as of the puzzling, non-threatening but deceptive nature of the UFO phenomenon and may well take advantage of it in a future global scenario".
His 90-minute presentation, once again, is entitled:
UFOs, THE GOVERNMENT AND THE GREAT ALIEN HOAX
- a closer look at the role of "beliefs" in Area 51 and Dulce conspiracies.

June Speaker: Kimberlee Johnson
We are excited to have Kimberlee Johnson speak at our June Meeting ---- Bio is as follows
Kimberlee Johnson was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, with a respect for all things in Nature. The time spent in the forests laid the foundation for her connection to animals, rocks and plants. She's spent her adult life in the Southwest, with the magic of the desert and the mountains interwoven into the fabric of who she is. She is a dowser and an herbalist, focusing on local medicinal plants. The subtle energies of Nature and the mystical connection of everything, fascinate her. She is trying to bring that understanding to anyone who is willing to listen.
In December of 2011, Kimberlee was chosen from applicants across the globe, to study and work with the shamans and elders of the Shipibo tribe in the Northern Amazon region of Peru. The tribe has agreed to share their indigenous wisdom with the world. The tribe's connection to the jungle and the stars is what has helped to create their culture and their reality. Their lives are shaped by how they view the plants and animals around them. They see some of the plants as great teachers from the stars. She is returning from the Amazon mid June and will be sharing the energies and realizations from the shamans to the community in New Mexico and beyond.

Dulce Tour with Norio Hayakawa!
From Norio:
Norio Hayakawa will be conducting a FREE, guided one-day tour to Dulce, New Mexico on Saturday, May 12, 2012. The theme of my free, guided tour is: UFO CONSPIRACY TOUR OF DULCE, NEW MEXICO. I will be leading a car caravan for this guided tour. The entire information is posted on this YouTube post: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9AknF3k4dU The car caravan will depart at 6:30 a.m. from the northwest-most corner of the parking lot of HOME DEPOT (located at the northeast corner of Hwy 550 and Sprint Blvd. in Rio Rancho). The caravan will proceed on Hwy 550 going towards Cuba. We will then go north on Hwy 537 (which will begin at the corner of Hwy 550 and Apache Nugget Casino). We will then go West on Hwy 64. First stop: GROUND ZERO of the 1967 underground explosion (PROJECT GASBUGGY) that took place 22 miles SW of Dulce. We will be there for about an hour, from around 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. For those of you will may be going directly to Dulce, here are the directions to GROUND ZERO: http://www.atomictourist.com/gasbug.htm From there, we will proceed to Dulce, going east on Hwy 64. We will join with the other contingent of the trip (those who will meet us directly at Dulce) at the parking lot of Best Western Hotel in Dulce. The caravan will depart from the parking lot of Best Western Hotel at 11:30 a.m. We will take you to the famous Gomez grocery store on Hwy 64 and view the Gomez family’s last remaining ranch (where cattle mutilations took place in the 70s). We will then proceed back to Dulce and take a left on Narrow Gage Rd.. We will make a right at J-2 dirt road, which is located at the foothills of the Archuleta Mesa. First stop: the road that goes up to Mount Archuleta. Second stop: Seguro Canyon Rd. (the road that goes up to Archuleta Mesa). We will not go up the Archuleta Mesa. Third stop: We will stop at the picnic area of Navajo River on J-2 road. This area was the scene of alleged bigfoot sightings years ago. Fourth stop: the bridge from where communication towers of Archuleta Mesa are clearly visible. We will also go to the Dulce Rock area (where there have been many sightings of strange flying objects in the past). We will also go to the Dulce Lake. We will also go to the Dulce airport area (where there had been reports of strange hovering objects at the end of the runway in the past). We will also visit the neighboring town of Lumberton from where we can see the Eastern Slopes of Archuleta Mesa. We will talk to some local residents who have some amazing sighting reports in that area. We will then go back to Dulce and visit the parking lot of Dulce Elementary School (that has a rather enigmatic design of its circular driveway as seen from satellite photos). We will see the “arrow” on that driveway. We will also look at a snow-capped mountain located northeast of this sport – exactly 18 miles away from that spot. At each of these stops, I will be giving explanations of the significance of each location. There will be much, much more to this interesting field trip. Please join us on May 12, 2012.

Speaker for May - Jim Turner!
On May 19th, Jim Turner will speak at the NM UFO/Paranormal Forum. Jim is a professional archeologist and host of History Channel’s Apocalypse Island documentary. In 1996 Jim discovered a massive monolithic sculpture, twice the size of the Egyptian Sphinx, on the deserted slopes of a volcanic island off the coast of Chile. The monument depicts the Mayan Sun God and a crouching jaguar and is the only location in the Western Hemisphere to witness the final Total Solar Eclipse of 2012.
After the discovery of the monument Jim returned to complete a Master’s degree in Mesoamerican archeology with a focus on archeoastronomy. His thesis study of the Dresden Codex Venus Table identified a previously unknown 20-part zodiac system related to the Mayan calendar. This research was later combined with knowledge gleaned from the island monument to interpret the astronomical events of the final katun of the Mayan Great Cycle, the years leading up to 2012 and the prophesied end of the 13th Baktun.
Jim’s talk will focus on the Mayan calendar and the cycles of eclipses that were precisely predicted by the Mayan astronomer-priests millennia ago. The cosmos meshes with the calendar in the twilight of 2012 and substantive proof will be given that presages a return of the Mayan king Chan Bahlum, perhaps in the discovery of his lost tomb. An analogous prediction of the 2012 eclipse is effectively beyond the present capabilities of even NASA and the accurate location of the island monument is an overt demonstration of the Mayan’s mastery of space and time. The Sun God monument promises profound revelations at the end of the Mayan Calendar.
This should be a great event! Please check the sidebar for place, date and time.

Photos and Thanks!
Thanks go to almost everyone who attended for being understanding and patient about the seating problems! Also, a big thanks to everyone who donated to help Travis cover his travel expenses from Snowflake, AZ!
The trend of me having bad hair days on meeting days continued.
That is my favorite photo from Applebees after the meeting!

Dear KRQE Viewers...
Please know that Manzano Mesa only allows us 88 people in our room. We were not expecting news coverage of our Travis Walton event and any people over that amount may be turned away.
FREE guided "mini" tour w/ Norio Hayakawa prior to the meeting
From Norio:
PRIOR TO THE MEETING, I AM OFFERING A FREE, EDUCATIONAL GUIDED "MINI" TOUR, FOR ANYONE INTERESTED:
This is to inform everyone ( especially those who live in the Albuquerque and Rio Rancho areas ) that I will be conducting a FREE, guided "mini" tour on Saturday, April 21, beginning at 10:30 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m.
The theme of my free, guided "mini" tour is: AN IMPORTANT ASPECT OF ALBUQUERQUE'S UFO HISTORY.
I will be leading a car caravan for this guided "mini" tour.
There will be brief stops at 5 important locations. All these
locations are only about 15 to 20 minutes from the Manzano Mesa Multi-generational Center where we will attend the April meeting of NEW MEXICO UFO AND PARANORMAL FORUM from 1:15 p.m. to hear Travis Walton. (Admission is FREE).
At each stop, I will be explaining the significance of the location.
We will all meet at 10:30 a.m. sharp at the front door of Manzano Mesa Multi-generational Center, 501 Elizabeth St., SE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87123. Then, we will all depart from the parking lot.
We
will all go in separate cars in a car caravan, lead by me. (Please try
to share a ride with others, in order to limit the number of cars in
the caravan.) I can accommodate 3 persons in my vehicle.
First stop: THUNDER SCIENTIFIC CORPORATION
which is located right next to the main gate of Kirtland Air Force Base
on Wyoming St. We will gather just outside of the building and I will
be giving the explanation as to why THUNDER SCIENTIFIC CORPORATION (which was originally established by the late Paul Bennewitz and still carried on by his son Jeff Bennewitz) is important in the UFO history of Albuquerque.
Second stop: We will go to the fence of part of Kirtland Air Force Base from where we can see part of the former Manzano underground
nuclear storage facility (underground facility) and also from where we can see some of Sandia Laboratory's "other"
facilities in the distance near the Coyote Canyon. I will explain the
significance of this location. It is located at the very end of Juan
Tabo St.
Third stop: We will go to the outside (not inside, LOL!!) of Paul Bennewitz'
residence (where his wife still lives). We will have to conduct
ourselves very discreetly in order not to bother anyone. We will only
stay there for one minute.
Fourth stop:
Then we will go to the exact location
(only less than a block away from Paul Bennewitz' residence) right next
to the fence of the former Manzano underground nuclear storage
facility. This fence is the exact spot from where Paul Bennewitz
used to witness some strange luminous objects hovering over the Manzano
hill (above the underground facility) beginning in 1980. We will spend
about 10 minutes at that spot. I will be explaining why this spot
played an important role for Paul Bennewitz in the subsequent rumors
about an alleged underground base (Dulce) in northern New Mexico. I
will also
explain the role of Kirtland AFB and OSI in the subsequent Dulce base story.
Fifth and final stop: Then we will go to the spot (less than a mile east of Paul Bennewitz' home) from where you can see a double row of razor-sharp electric fences that surround the former Manzano underground facililty. We will also see the WARNING SIGNS
on the fence, which is located in an indescript public hiking "park"
operated by the city of Albuquerque. We will also see a sign that says:
"This area may be monitored by video camera",
issued by Albuquerque Police Department. Please make sure to bring
cameras and videocameras. It will be an unusual experience for you all
We will then head back to the Center in time (about 12:45 p.m.) to get ready for the meeting of NEW MEXICO UFO AND PARANORMAL FORUM where Travis Walton will be speaking from 1: 15 p.m. The admission is FREE.
There is a COSTCO
less than a minute away from the Center where one can get a quick $1.50
lunch that includes a great Polish sausage or Kosher hotdog and a soft
drink.
Or, if one wants to spend more money, one can get a good sliced pizza and a soft drink for $3.50.

Final Reminder - Adam Gorightly
Saturday March 3rd, see the sidebar for map and other info.
Special speaker, author ADAM GORIGHTLY
A certified “crackpot historian” and 23rd degree Discordian, Adam Gorightly has been chronicling fringe and conspiracy culture in an illuminating manner for over two decades. An active contributor to the ‘zine revolution of the late ’80s and early ’90s, Adam’s byline was a familiar sight in many cutting-edge mags of the period where he sharpened his literary teeth. His articles have appeared in numerous publications such as The Excluded Middle, UFO Magazine, Paranoia, SteamShovel Press, and FourTwoFour, the largest soccer magazine in Great Britain.
Adam’s explorations into these arcane waters eventually led to his first book, published in October 2001,The Shadow Over Santa Susana: Black Magic, Mind Control and the Manson Family Mythos, which has been described as the mother of all Manson family tomes. This was followed in November 2003 by The Prankster and the Conspiracy: The Story of Kerry Thornley and How He Met Oswald and Inspired the Counterculture, the first bio of the legendary counterculture figure, chronicling Thornley’s amazing and tragic life. 2005′s The Beast of Adam Gorightly: Collected Rantings 1992–2004, features many articles from Adam’s formative years in the ‘zine scene.

Sirius Show, The X-Zone with Rob McConnell, From The Grassy Knoll with Vyzygoth, Out The Rabbit Hole with Robert Larson, The Blue Rose Report with Miles Lewis, A Closer Look with Michael Corbin, Binnall of America, Stormy Weather with Aeolus Kephas and Radio Misterioso with Greg Bishop.
From November 2006 – May 2008, Adam hosted the weirdly popular Untamed Dimensions web radio show, which is now archived at:http://www.untameddimensions.com/pod/gp.html
Adam has lectured across the US. His most recent rant, “Were the UFO Contactees Ritual Magicians?” was presented at The Retro UFO Space Convention in April 2006; The Roswell 60th Anniversary Festival in July 2007 and and The League Of Western Fortean Intermediatists Mini-Con in October 2008 in Los Angeles.
Says Erskine Payton of “Erskine Overnight:“ Adam offers a unique take on virtually every conspiracy of our time. There are few answers to Adam’s rants, but they pose questions only the brave or seriously warped would dare ponder.”

Coming March 17th to NM UFO/Paranormal Forum: Dennis Balthaser
As a young man, Dennis Balthaser would look into the night sky and wonder at the secrets it held. Some years later Dennis bought a book about UFOs and his wonder turned to investigation. Today he has a library with over 90 books in reference to ufology.
Dennis served 3 years ('59-62) with the United States Army in the 815th Engineering Battalion. After some 33 years in Civil Engineering, Dennis retired from the Texas Department of Transportation in 1996. Having been keenly interested in the Roswell Incident of 1947, Dennis decided to move to Roswell, New Mexico, to pursue his avocation: Ufology.
Initially Dennis worked as an Engineering Consultant in Roswell, volunteering his time at the International UFO Museum and Research Center on weekends. Nine months later he resigned from the engineering firm, assuming the duties of IUFOMRC Operations Manager. He served on the Board of Directors and became the UFO Investigator for the Museum as a full time volunteer from 1996 until 1998, then began his research as an independent researcher.
Due to his love of ufology, his dedication and his exhaustive work, Dennis is regarded as a leading investigator and ufologist by his peers, communicating regularly with such well known researchers as Stanton Friedman, Frank Warren, Scott Ramsey, and others in their quests to find the truth.
Dennis is a Certified Mutual UFO Network Field Investigator, a member of Great Pyramid of Giza Research Association, and belongs to several ufology organizations.

That is me speaking about upcoming guest Adam Gorightly. I wasn't expecting to speak and have no idea what I said. :-)
Not everyone goes to Applebees after the meeting, but we still took up that huge table and a few booths. I am way at the end of the table.
Thanks to JC for the photos!
